Publish an artifact

How an artifact gets from your machine into the catalog.

  1. 1

    Sign the CLI in

    lns login hub.lns.run

The command opens the hub in your browser: sign in with Lens ID, confirm the code your terminal shows, and approve. The CLI receives a personal access token of its own.

  2. 2

    Author your kit

    Sandbox

Describe the runtime in lns.yaml (kind: sandbox): image, egress, credentials.

    Mixin

A reusable spec fragment (kind: mixin) sandboxes merge at startup.

    Connector

A mixin users install (kind: connector): the destinations it serves, and the ways to authenticate.

The authoring guide walks through each kind, and the sandbox spec is the reference for every block.

  3. 3

    Push

The first push creates the repository, private, in your namespace. The hub can create it empty first, under any namespace you belong to.

    lns push hub.lns.run/<your-handle>/<name>

The catalog reindexes immediately after a push through the hub.

  4. 4

    Publish

The repository starts private. To make it appear in Explore, flip Visibility on the repository's Settings tab. Public means the pages are readable by anyone, and any signed-in user's PAT can pull.
